"What Doesn’t Kill You" Preview & Poster

“What Doesn’t Kill You” stars Mark Ruffalo (Brian) and Ethan Hawke (Paulie) as friends who grew up like brothers on the gritty streets of south Boston. (And what’s up with all the Boston filmmaking lately? They must offer some good incentives there.)

As petty crimes and misdemeanors grow into more serious offenses, they eventually fall prey to organized crime boss Pat Kelly – played by Brian Goodman, who also directs the film from events based on his own life.  

As Brian becomes increasingly lost in a haze of drugs and ‘jobs,’ even the love he has for his wife (Amanda Peet) and children doesn’t seem like enough to redeem him. Meanwhile, Paulie plans “one last heist,” but knows it will take both of them to pull it off. 

The poster is pretty cool, isn’t it? Written by Brian Goodman, Donnie Wahlberg, and Paul T. Murray, “What Doesn’t Kill You” opens Dec. 12, 2008 in New York and Los Angeles. It’s rated R for language, drug use, some violence and brief sexuality. Check out the official site here.
