"WALL*E" Preview & Trailer

Of all the movies coming out this summer, I’m probably most excited about this one. And that’s saying a lot, with Indiana Jones and The Dark Knight in the mix.

After hundreds of lonely years doing what he was built for, WALL-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life. He meets a sleek search-robot named EVE, who realizes that WALL-E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future.

EVE races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who’ve been eagerly awaiting word that it’s safe to return home). Meanwhile, a lovestruck WALL-E chases EVE across the galaxy and ends up going on a fantastic journey that includes a pet cockroach and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots.

Early reviews of this Pixar flick are good, and it really does look oh-so-cute. Check out the official site and this behind-the-scenes look with filmmakers Jim Morris, Ben Burtt, and writer/director Andrew Stanton. He wrote and directed Finding Nemo, so I really think he’ll make magic once again. Runtime is 103 minutes, and it’s rated G, so hopefully won’t include any objectionable content for little ones.
