Video: "The Great Debaters" Trailer

"The Great Debaters" stars Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker.  IMDb describes it as "a drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College Texas. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school’s first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship."

It looks good and it opened on Christmas day so we’ll have to wait a few days to find out how it fared at the box office.  It’s generating some Oscar buzz but I doubt it’s going to be a holiday blockbuster, unfortunately.
