Universal Picks Up "The Family Bond"

Universal has picked up “The Family Bond”, an adventure movie that centers on a girl who embarks on a journey to rescue her mother — with the father she never knew she had, a Bond-like spy.

Ok, so… their name isn’t Bond, but he’s *like James Bond? Ok, got it.

At any rate, it’s a different sort of film than producer Mark Platt has done recently. His latest project is the R-rated action flick, Wanted, starring Angelina Jolie. He does have a family film on his resume, The Perfect Man, a forgettable film staring Hilary Duff.
