Traverse City Film Festival: Madonna Fever

Traverse City, Michigan, is all abuzz with the news that Madonna will be at the Traverse City Film Festival on August 2, 2008 to preview her documentary, I Am Because We Are.

No press passes are being issued for the film, so I stood in line with the masses last Saturday to score tickets. Didn’t make it into the main event (hard-core fans started lining up on Thursday), but did score tickets to the simulcast at another venue that same night. I’m hoping it’s the Traverse City Opera House, because it’s the next best thing to the renovated State Theatre, where the Material Girl herself will be.

Got a note from Rachel North, marketing director for MyNorth.com, and they did some interviews and put together a video on their site. Check it out, and catch some Madonna fever!
