The Ups and Downs of Being an Entertainment Writer

Well, it’s certainly never dull! In addition to Film Gecko, I also write for a variety of other print and online publications. I have a family movie column that’s syndicated to 300+ publications, and I also blog for TV Squad.

Earlier this week, E.B. Boyd wrote a nice piece about my syndicated column at Media Bistro. You can access it here if you’re a MediaBistro member. If not, I’ll just say it’s a great piece that will hopefully help writers interested in syndicating their work.

On the flip side, I wrote a reviewcap at TV Squad on the Grey’s Anatomy season finale last night. I’ve written a lot of recaps for CinemaBlend, but this is the first I’ve done for TV Squad (filling in for Jonathan Toomey, who usually covers the show). Wow, those Squad readers are…interesting! My backside is burning from all those flames!
