Tanna Frederick: "Performer to Watch" at Method Fest

February 9, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

tanna_frederick I had the opportunity to interview Tanna Frederick last year, and she’s so vibrant and full of life, it just made me want to do everything better! Read my interview here; I promise you’ll feel energized about life.

I was thrilled to receive an email today noting that Tanna is selected as the "Performer to Watch" at The Method Fest Film Festival. The festival is scheduled for March 26 – April 2 in Calabasas, California, but Tanna will receive her award at a special ceremony Feb. 26 at 7 p.m., Pierce College’s Performing Arts Center.

That same night, Peter Bogdanovich will be receiving The Method Fest Auteur Director Award. The lineup of the festival films will be announced, as well. Bogdanovich directed and/or wrote and produced such classic films as "What’s Up, Doc?," "Paper Moon," and "The Last Picture Show," which received eight Oscar nominations.

More after the jump…

Tanna Frederick starred in Henry Jaglom’s "Hollywood Dreams," for which she received the Best Actress Award at the Montana and Fargo film festivals. She’s also acted in such stage productions as N. Richard Nash’s "Echoes," and Ben Guillory and Danny Glover’s production of "Toussaint: For the Love of Freedom."

Look for Tanna in Jaglom’s new film "Irene in Time," which opens in theaters in limited release May 29, 2009. She’s also begun work on her third film with Jaglom, "Queen of the Lot," a sequel to "Hollywood Dreams."
