Exclusive: Interview with Quinn Lord of ‘Imaginarium,’ ‘Santa Buddies’

Quinn Lord is just ten years old and already has a long list of TV and film credits to his name. Right now, you can see him in “Santa Buddies” (new on DVD Nov. 24 – read my review here), as well as the upcoming films “The Hole” and “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.”
We caught up with the young actor and got his take on scary movies, Johnny Depp, and why he’d kill a zombie or two for a Twinkie.

Zombies 101 – A look back at Zombie movies

With “Zombieland” in theaters this weekend, what better time to take a look back at zombies in movie history? I have to say, I hadn’t seen that many zombie movies until I saw “Dead Snow” at a midnight showing at the Traverse City Film Festival this summer, and now I’m hooked. Basically, it’s all zombies, all the time. Let’s see what Indy Mogul uncovered on this very important topic…

A Venom movie inches forward – good news?

A Venom movie inches forward – good news?

Things haven’t gone well for our favorite spidey superhero the past few years. Fans weren’t particularly excited about 2007’s “Spider-Man 3,” and the franchise lost a little steam.
But his arch-nemesis Venom is moving closer to having his very own movie. This could be good or bad. Good if the black-oozed one is evil to the core. Bad if he’s lackluster.
I’ve got faith, though, because “Zombieland” writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing the screenplay. Hopefully, that means it’ll be edgy and dark, and not in a commercial way.
“We’ve written two drafts of ‘Venom,’ and the …read more

Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg star in Zombieland – watch the trailer

I posted a few funny TV spots for “Zombieland” last week, and here’s the official trailer. If you’re into zombies, then you should probably check out this movie (I also recommend “Dead Snow” – awesome zombies).
In theaters Oct. 2, 2009, “Zombieland” stars Jesse Eisenberg as Columbus, a guy who’s made a habit of running from whatever scares him. On the flipside, Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) has no fears whatsoever. And if he did, he’d make whatever scared him sorry they were ever born.
But the world is overrun by zombies, and these two opposites find themselves trying to survive not only …read more
