Whoever is running the publicity for “Daybreakers,” the thriller about a population of vampires forced to suck peoples’ blood for survival, is doing a pretty good job.
In a “man on the street” thing, they asked people to say whose blood they’d like to suck if given the opportunity. Sarah Palin, George Bush, the cast of “Jersey Shore,” and Halle Berry (say what?) topped the list.
“Daybreakers” sinks its teeth into theaters this Friday Jan. 8, 2010. It’s directed by Michael Spierig, and Ethan Hawke is one of the players. Rated R for strong bloody violence, language and brief nudity.

Featured in the November issue of Elle magazine is Katie Holmes, who can be seen in the upcoming horror-thriller “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.”
In the Elle interview, Holmes talks about fashion, Tom Cruise, and the possibility of a vampire movie in her future. Yeah, she has that sort of dark look that would do well in a supernatural movie.

You’ve gotta wonder just how far you can stretch things in some of these lawsuits. Now a woman who wrote an obscure vampire book as a teenager is suing "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer. She’s accusing her of stealing ideas for the fourth book in the series, “Breaking Dawn.” I mean, there’s only so many plotlines you can take with a vampire, right?
Jordan Scott’s lawsuit claims that while she was writing her book, “The Nocturne,” she posted passages online, which Meyer then stole for her own book.

More action, more buff guys, more romance, more special effects … looks like that’s what we’ll be getting with "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," arriving in theaters Nov. 20, 2009.
The story brings the wolf pack front and center, and even takes us to the exotic locale of Italy. Edward (Rob Pattinson) leaves, Bella (Kristen Stewart) goes into a deep depression, and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) steps up.

Who’s Jack Huston? The latest actor to score a role in Summit Entertainment’s third installment of the "Twilight" series, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
And yes, he IS related to the famous Huston family. He’s the son of Tony Huston, nephew of Anjelica Huston (pictured, with Jack), grandson of John Huston, and great-grandson of Walter Huston. Those are some great acting creds!
The actor joins the rest of the "Twilight" gang, including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Bryce Dallas Howard in the third installment of the vampire flicks based on Stephenie Meyer’s novels.

The cast of "Twilight," "New Moon," and "Eclipse" grabbed dinner together in downtown Vancouver this week.
Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Peter Facinelli, and Elizabeth Reaser are currently filming the vampire series’ third installment, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," scheduled for release on June 30, 2010.

Is “New Moon” About Vampires? 

I’ve got two  new stills from "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" below, followed by six previously released stills. 
The movie hits theaters on Nov. 20, 2009, and continues the story of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). It’s a cross-species love triangle involving a human, a vampire, and a werewolf. Check out the poster of the werewolf pack here.

Much of the population might think that vampire Edward Cullen and his human alter-ego Robert Pattinson is cuter than cute. But he doesn’t share that feeling, and says that not only did he almost back out of auditioning for the role, but seeing himself on screen makes him sick!
For the rest of us, we’ll get to see Pattinson as the sultry vampire again on Nov. 20, 2009, when "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" hits theaters.
