John Krasinski and Emily Blunt at the 2010 Golden Globes

Are these two the cutest couple on the planet or what? Of course, I’m talking about John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. In addition to playing Jim on NBC’s “The Office,” he’s carved out a nice little movie career for himself. You can catch him in “It’s Complicated” with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin right now.
Emily Blunt is currently in theaters in “Young Victoria.” Next up for her is “The Adjustment Bureau” with Matt Damon and “The Wolfman” with Benicio Del Toro.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt engaged? That’s fantastic!

And now for some HAPPY news! Everyone’s favorite adorable guy from “The Office,” John Krasinski, and British actress Emily Blunt are engaged!
I’m probably disproportionately excited about this news, but it just makes me totally happy. I love both of these stars, and they’re starting a life together just as Pam and Jim are having a baby on “The Office.” Things must be peachy in John Krasinski’s world (and, clearly, I need to get out more).
Catch Krasinski next in “It’s Complicated,” in theaters Dec. 25, 2009. Blunt can be seen in “The Young Victoria,” in theaters Nov. 13, 2009.

Rainn Wilson, Sarah Silverman in talks for Peep World

Most of the stars of "The Office" do pretty well at reaching beyond the show with other projects. Rashida Jones is currently in "I Love You, Man," and Steve Carell, John Krasinski, and Jenna Fischer have all done movies outside the show.
Rainn Wilson is another "Office" alum who’s kept a foot in the movie biz, which is good because he’s identified so much with his character of Dwight Schrute.
Now he’s in talk to star in "Peep World," an indie film about a dysfunctional family. Sarah Silverman is also in talks, and Michael C. Hall (loved him in …read more

Lindsay Long Meets Catherine Hardwicke – Report from SXSW 2009

Lindsay Long has graciously volunteered to be a Film Gecko field reporter at SXSW 2009, currently the happenin’ place to be in Austin, Texas. That’s Lindsay pictured with "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke. More on that later!
Lindsay attended two panels on Saturday. Read on for her report:
Jeffrey Tambor: "Break the Rules"
The first panel was Jeffrey Tambor’s Acting Workshop. For the first part of the workshop, Jeffrey took two actors, Jess Weixler ("Alexander the Last") and Mark Reeb (John Bryant Productions), and directed them through a scene. The two actors had only memorized their lines and the context of the …read more

Steve Carell Tapped for "Get Smart" Sequel

We LOVED “Get Smart,” and Steve Carell was perfect for the role. In fact, we saw it twice! So I’m happy to hear he’s on board for a sequel. The movie was such a big success that Carell landed a multi-million dollar three-movie deal with studio Warner Bros. last month.
If I understand the WENN news report correctly, the deal doesn’t specifically include any sequels to the movie, but the New York Daily News reports that  studio bosses are “moving forward” on the project, and Carell will reportedly have producer credit.
One studio insider tells the publication: “He’s not asking …read more
