The “Keep Memory Alive” charity fundraiser benefits the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, which researches cures for brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Held at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas, the stars came out in force, including Hilary Duff, Teri Hatcher and others.
I always appreciate it when stars make appearances at these events, bringing light to important issues (yeah, I know they’re often paid for their appearances, but still …).

"Coraline" is one of those movies that’s probably a great piece of filmmaking, but it’s not really appropriate for kids. The stop-motion animation, the cinematography, and the storyline are all beautifully done. But it’s just too darn scary for little kids. In the popular children’s book-turned-movie “Coraline,” Dakota Fanning voices the role of a young girl who unlocks a mysterious door in her home, only to discover a parallel reality.
