Hunter Parrish, Zoe Kazan and Caitlin Fitzgerald talk ‘It’s Complicated’

I really loved “It’s Complicated,” and actually wouldn’t mind seeing it again. It’s a lovely look at middle-aged love, sex and lust.
Reelzchannel caught up with the actors who played the children of divorced couple Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin, and they talked about working with legends, as well as that awkward nude scene that gave us a nice shot of Alec Baldwin’s butt.

Review: ‘It’s Complicated’ is funny and heartfelt

Movie: It’s Complicated * Official Site * Trailer
In Theaters: Dec. 25, 2009

Runtime: 118 minutes
Directed by Nancy Meyers

MPAA Rating: R for some drug content and sexuality
Gecko Rating:

I’ve been reading some not-so-good reviews of "It’s Complicated," so they’d already shaded my expectations of the movie. But I saw it last night and found it really funny, entertaining and heartfelt. The impressive talents of the actors don’t hurt a bit.
Meryl Streep plays a divorced 50-something woman who inadvertently strikes up an affair with her ex-husband Jake, played by Alec Baldwin, while they’re attending their son’s college graduation. The reason their …read more

John Krasinski talks Alec Baldwin’s chest, smoking pot

My crush on John Krasinski continues as he makes the rounds promoting “It’s Complicated,” the romantic comedy in which he stars with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and Steve Martin.
Access Hollywood caught up with the star at the movie’s premiere, and he talked about Baldwin’s chest, as well as what it’s like to smoke pot with Streep and Baldwin (just the thought of it sounds like a trip). He’s just so adorable!
“It’s Complicated” hits theaters Dec. 25, 2009.

‘It’s Complicated’ gets an R rating

‘It’s Complicated’ gets an R rating

I was hoping “It’s Complicated” would score a PG-13 rating, because my 12-year-old daughter and I love seeing romantic comedies, and this looked like a great one to see together. Probably not going to happen, though I might screen it first and check it out.
The Nancy Meyers-directed film, starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, garnered an R rating by the MPAA, not so much for the sex scenes but because of the marijuana use. The official rating is “R for some drug content and sexuality.”
Ratings are really all over the place. When you think about the …read more

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin to host Oscars

Here’s some fun news for today: Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will co-host the Oscars on March 7, 2010 on ABC. The 82nd Academy Awards will be held at the Kodak Theater at Hollywood and Highland Centre.
Producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic had this canned response in the press release that landed in my inbox: “We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars. Steve will bring the experience of having hosted the show in the past and Alec will be a completely fresh personality for this event.”
The co-hosts had less …read more

It’s Complicated: Preview & Trailer

Holy cow, I can’t wait for this movie. The cast alone is enough to make me happy, but the story by Nancy Meyers looks fun, too. “It’s Complicated” stars Meryl Streep as Jane, a woman whose husband, Jake (Alec Baldwin), leaves her for a younger woman. Turns out he’s not all that hip on having a younger wife. He wants Jane back.
Things get even more complicated when Jane learns that her architect, Adam (Steve Martin), is interested in her, too. The stellar cast also includes John Krasinski (“The Office”), Hunter Parrish (“Weeds”), and Lake Bell. See what I mean …read more

"The Pink Panther 2" Review

"The Pink Panther 2" Review

Movie: The Pink Panther 2 * Trailer * Official Site
In Theaters: Feb. 6, 2009

Runtime: 92 minutes
Directed by: Harald Zwart

MPAA Rating: PG for some suggestive humor, brief mild language and action
Gecko Rating:

If you’re in the mood for a funny movie with lots of goofy slapstick comedy, "The Pink Panther 2" might be it. The plot – and really, the other actors – are secondary to the antics of Steve Martin, who offers several laugh-out-loud moments. And I wasn’t laughing just to be polite, since my kids both sat in different parts of the theater with their friends. I was …read more

Stars of "The Pink Panther 2" Hit the "Pink" Carpet – VIDEO

The Manhattan premiere of "The Pink Panther 2" didn’t have a red carpet. It had a "pink" carpet! Sounds like the stars had a lot of fun making the movie, and I can’t wait to see it (this weekend!). Watch "The Pink Panther 2" Trailer, and check out what they had to say at the premiere:

"The Pink Panther 2" – Official Trailer

We’re big fans of the first "Pink Panther" movie with Steve Martin, so we – as in the kids and I – are really looking forward to the second, in theaters Feb. 6, 2009. It’ll be a great way to get us through that last part of winter! Plus, it’s rated PG for some suggestive humor, brief mild language and action, so it doesn’t sound too objectionable for families. Here’s the second trailer (watch the first trailer here). It looks like just goofy-good fun:

Der Burger! Yes, that still pops up in conversation around our house. We’re seriously looking forward to “The Pink Panther 2.” Nobody does the slapstick better than Steve Martin (and his Web site is really fun, too). He’s just so goofy!
Here’s the trailer. The movie hits theaters Feb. 6, 2009. Are you hip with it?!
