Geek out with Avatar’s James Cameron

Action! Romance! Technology! James Cameron says “Avatar” is his most challenging movie to date, and that’s saying a lot. Remember he’s got “Titanic” and “Terminator” to his credit. Here’s a behind the scenes look at “Avatar,” along with Steve Carell and Paul Rudd’s upcoming film, “Dinner for Schmucks.” More clips after the jump…

Original Ghostbusters Murray, Aykroyd on board for remake – VIDEO

Harold Ramis recently stopped by MTV News to chat about his new Jack Black comedy "The Year One" (in theaters June 19). MTV took the opportunity to ask Ramis about the upcoming “Ghostbusters” remake. He co-wrote the first two “Ghostbusters” movies and also starred in them as the nerdy Dr. Egon Spengler.
Well, guess what?! Ramis (now 64!) says all the original core players are onboard for the reboot, including Bill Murray (Dr. Peter Venkman) and Dan Aykroyd (Dr. Raymond Stantz), who co-wrote the original films. "We’re all going to be in it in different kinds of roles," Ramis …read more

MPAA Rating: PG for sci-fi action, some crude humor, and mild language

There’s really only so much you can do with a kids’ movie these days. There’s usually an evil guy, a main character with issues, some kooky supporting characters, and a big crisis that needs to be stopped.
"Monsters vs. Aliens" has all of these elements, but what puts it a notch above most kids’ movies is the animation. The movie is offered in both 3D and …read more

I Love You, Man – Preview & Trailer

When did the term “bromance” enter into our collective conscience? It certainly has been big lately. I even wrote a story about it for TV Squad, where I’m a co-lead blogger.
“I Love You, Man” is all about the bromance, and it looks really funny. It stars Paul Rudd as Peter Klaven, a guy who realizes that he has no one to act as best man on his wedding day.
So he goes on a series of man-dates and finds Sydney Fife (Jason Segel). As their friendship grows stronger, it’s got the exact opposite affect on his relationship with his …read more

“Monsters vs. Aliens” Trailer and Super Bowl Spot

"Monsters vs. Aliens" is heading to theaters March 27, 2009. The cute DreamWorks movie follows a young girl (voiced by Reese Witherspoon) who turns into a monster after being hit by a meteorite from outer space. The animation reminds me a lot of “Monsters, Inc.” Check out images here and here. Directed and written by Rob Letterman, it features the voices of Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Keifer Sutherland, Hugh Laurie, and …read more

"Role Models" – Preview & Trailer

“Role Models” looks like it could be goofy fun, or just crude humor from beginning to end. Or maybe both. I’m hoping for both.
It stars Seann William Scott and Paul Rudd as two salesmen for an energy drink. After crashing their company truck, they’re sentenced to 150 hours of community service, mentoring a bunch of geeks-and-freaks kids. Elizabeth Banks and Jane Lynch also star.
Directed by David Wain, it’s rated R for crude and sexual content, strong language and nudity. Sounds like you’d best keep the kids at home for this one. In theaters Nov. 7, 2008. Official Site. …read more
