Exclusive Interview: Powers Boothe talks Tombstone, Sin City 2
June 30, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
He’s played a President on “24” and a senator on “Sin City.” He’s voiced the part of Lex Luthor and knocked us out as Curly Bill in “Tombstone.” In fact, Powers Boothe seems like he’s been around forever, but most of his roles have been after 1980 (not counting an uncredited role of a Bolivian bandito in 1969’s “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”).
I recently caught up with Powers at his home in California’s Hidden Hills. Read on for his thoughts on the possibility of “Sin City 2,” the secret to a long marriage in Hollywood, and being inducted …read more
Jennifer Aniston and Bradley Cooper dating again!
June 19, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I’ve seen Bradley Cooper in a number of projects, including “He’s Just Not That Into You,” but I really fell in love with him in “The Hangover.” It’s a smart, funny movie about guys on a bender in Vegas. It’s a lot smarter than it sounds!
Apparently, Jennifer Aniston is feeling the vibe, too, because CelebTV.com is reporting that they’re dating again. The two were spotted on a romantic dinner date at Il Cantinori in New York City. May I just say that these two would make beautiful babies? Thank you.
Brad and Angie in Splitsville?
June 9, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Depending on which tabloid you’re reading, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are either pregnant, breaking up, living in separate houses, or locked in a bitter custody battle. This report says that Angie offered Brad $90 million for the kids. Believe it?

May 26, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Rumors are flying today about a new “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” movie. If it indeed gets made, who should play Buffy? I’m thinking Emma Watson could do a kick-ass job, or maybe Anne Hathaway. Vote in the poll below! n

Abbie Cornish, Mariah Carey and others at the Cannes Film Festival 2009
May 17, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
The Cannes Film Festival – a.k.a. Festival de Cannes – is in full swing right now, from May 13 – 24, 2009. I’ve chosen a few images from the festival, including lovely Abbie Cornish, right, attending the "Bright Star" screening.
The main news to come out of the festival is that while there are many top-tier projects available to U.S. distributors, no one is buying. A sign of the bleak economy? Whatever the reason, it looks like some very big movies may be left without a U.S. distributor, which could mean smaller distributors will swoop in and pick them …read more
Film Gecko Five: Top 5 Dom DeLuise Movies
May 5, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I was saddened to hear that Dom DeLuise passed away yesterday at the age of 75. He was always a very funny actor who rarely strayed from the goofy character he played in movies like “The Cannonball Run” and “Blazing Saddles.” It worked, so why mess with it?
The same was true in his private life, as he was married to the same woman for 54 years (a rarity in Hollywood). He’s survived by his wife, Carol Arthur, and three sons, Peter, Michael and David.
After the jump, my tribute to Dom DeLuise – my top five favorite movie roles…
Hugh Jackman drops $4300 on breakfast for fans
May 1, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Is Hugh Jackman one of the best movie stars on the planet or what?! TMZ is reporting that the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star bought 67 breakfast trays and 80 gallons of coffee for fans who camped out in front of the theater in Tempe, Arizona, waiting for the big premiere.
Fans were treated to bagels, muffins, croissants and coffee totaling $4300 from the Paradise Bakery. I guess he can afford it, but what a guy!
Check out the actual receipt here.

Emma Watson to play Hermione’s mom? Not likely!
April 21, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Emma Watson, a.k.a. Hermione in the “Harry Potter” movies, has said she plans to retire from acting after the series ends. Or at least try different things, like theater. But apparently, her thoughts on this in the May issue of Interview magazine irked a few people.
"I was a little bit shocked by people’s responses,” she said. “Maybe it’s because, at the moment, there are so many people who want to be famous, so how could I not want this? Or, how could I not want to keep it forever?"
So would she come out of retirement to do another …read more
Kate Hudson turns 30, parties without Owen Wilson
April 20, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Can Kate Hudson be 30 already? Man, I’m feeling old, considering that I remember when her mom Goldie Hawn was on Laugh-In.
Kate partied at Goldie and Kurt Russell’s house, but Owen Wilson was nowhere in site. Maybe they’re “off-again”? Justin Timberlake was there (sans Jessica Biel), and Matthew McConaughey showed up solo, too. Up next for Hudson: “Big Eyes” and “Nine.”
Exclusive: Interview with Clifton Collins Jr. of Crank: High Voltage and Star Trek
April 19, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Clifton Collins Jr. plays a bad guy in “Crank: High Voltage” (in theaters April 17, 2009). He also plays a bad guy in “Star Trek” (in theaters May 8, 2009). In fact, he’s played a lot of bad guys, and he’s ok with that. He says it’s kind of fun playing the bad guys.
Read on as he talks about whipping Jason Statham’s ass, being awed by Leonard Nimoy, working with Andre Braugher on “Thief,” and the magic that is “Grand Theft Auto.”
JANE: You play a Mexican mob boss in “Crank” High Voltage.” Did you study other movie mob bosses to …read more
