Vampire trend continues with Daybreakers

We’re starting to get some info on 2010 moves now, and the vampire theme continues on and on (which is fine by me!).
I just received a poster for Lionsgate’s "Daybreakers," starring Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe.
Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, and a plague has transformed the world’s population into vampires. Humans are becoming extinct, and vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out (they haven’t heard of "True Blood"?).
But then a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the …read more

"Push" Poster with Chris Evans

A new poster for “Push” is out, and I can’t say I’m completely impressed. I guess it’s ok, but doesn’t really grab me for some reason.
Directed by Paul McGuigan, “Push” stars Chris Evans (he’s the one in the poster), Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle, Djimon Hounsou, Maggie Siff and Scott Michael Campbell, and is set for a Feb. 6, 2009 release.
The sci-fi thriller involves a group of young American ex-pats with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities, hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency. They must use their various talents and band together for a final job enabling them to escape …read more

"Monster vs. Aliens" Poster

Check out the new poster for “Monsters vs. Aliens,” in theaters March 27, 2009. The DreamWorks movie is about a young girl who turns into a monster after being hit by a meteorite from outer space. She’s then taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years. Features the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Keifer Sutherland, Hugh Laurie, and others.
It looks a lot like “Monsters, Inc.,” doesn’t it?

"Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" – Poster!

Check out the poster for “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs,” the third movie in the cute franchise. Looks like lots of fun, and what’s that in the background? A pink Pterodactyl maybe? We love these movies in this household! This one hits theaters next July.
The film stars Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Seann William Scott and Josh Peck. While I haven’t heard much about the plot, I do know it revolves around some dinosaurs who survived extinction, living beneath thick layers of ice in a tropical habitat. They’re released when the ice thaws and, I’m …read more

"Star Trek" – Two New Posters Featuring Kirk and Spock!

I’ve got two new posters of the upcoming “Star Trek” movie from director J.J. Abrams. The posters feature Zachary Quinto as Spock and Chris Pine as Capt. Kirk. It hits theaters at warp speed on May 8, 2009, and it’s definitely one of the most anticipated movies of 2009. What do you think of the posters? Pretty cool, huh?
