Evan Rachel Wood joins Robert Redford’s The Conspirator

I’ve been a fan of Evan Rachel Wood’s going back to when she starred as Jessie Sammler in the TV series “Once and Again.” So I’ve been following her successful movie and TV career with delight.
Most recently, she starred as the Vampire Queen in HBO’s “True Blood” and in the feature films “Whatever Works” and 2008’s “The Wrestler.”

Great … a new comedy about cancer

What’s with all the “comedies” about cancer and illness lately, a la “Funny People”? I’m just not liking it. Not liking it at all. I know laughter is the best medicine and all that, but it’s just not good movie fodder. Know what I mean? Maybe if they call it a dramedy …
"I’m With Cancer" was the movie’s original name, but I think it’s in the midst of a name change. I do know this: James McAvoy has signed on to star, it’s being directed by Nicole Holofcener; and produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin.
