“Leap Year” looks like a fun romantic comedy, and it’s coming to theaters this Friday, Jan. 8. It’s probably not anything we haven’t seen in lots of other romantic comedies, but the players will make it a must-see for me.
It stars Amy Adams as a woman who’s frustrated over the fact that her boyfriend Jeremy (Adam Scott) hasn’t proposed yet. After four years, it seems he’s about to do just that, but nope. The ring she’s expecting turns out to be earrings. Nice earrings, but not an engagement ring.

Lots of buzz surrounding “The Men Who Stare at Goats,” in theaters Nov. 6, 2009. The movie is based on true events as described in Jon Ronson’s 2004 book by the same name.
Ewan McGregor plays a down-on-his-luck reporter who meets a special forces agent (George Clooney), who says that yes, it’s true. There’s actually a secret military unit whose sole purpose is to use paranormal powers for the greater good.

I’m probably more in love with “Transformers” than “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (read my review here). They’re both rock-em sock-em movies with giant robots, but the first one had more plot and character development, in my view. Well, as much as you can have in a movie about giant robots.

I’ll say right off the bat: I LOVED “The Greatest Game Ever Played”! It’s the film that made me slightly fan-crazed for Shia Labeouf, and it’s just a great movie.
