MPAA Rating: G 3 Gecko Gecko Rating:

hannah_montana_movie_2 “Hannah Montana: The Movie” is predictable and Disney Channel-ish, but it will appeal to tween girls who like the Hannah Montana show and Miley Cyrus. It’s rated G, which is kind of refreshing in a sea of inappropriate PG and PG-13 rated movies aimed at that age group. There’s nothing to be worried about with this movie.

The plot follows the popular Disney Channel character Hannah Montana, and her dilemma of being torn between two worlds. There’s the world in California, where she’s revered and followed by hoards of tween girls wherever she goes, but her identity as Miley Stewart is kept under close wraps. That gets her in trouble with best pal Lilly Truscott (Emily Osment), because when “Hannah” is spotted headed towards Lilly’s sweet sixteen birthday party, she has to show up as the pop star, lest her true identity be revealed.

"The Hannah Montana Movie" – Sneak Peek VIDEO

January 2, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

Miley Cyrus sure is in the big-time lately, and in this sneak peek of her upcoming film, "The Hannah Montana Movie," she talks a bit about making the movie. It hits theaters April 10, 2009, and looks to be family-friendly fare with a G-rating. And that’s cool; there will be plenty of time for her to do more dramatic roles in the coming years.

New "Hannah Montana" and "High School Musical" DVD Games

November 8, 2008 by Jane Boursaw

hannah-montana-dvd-game One of my publicist buddies sent me screener copies of two DVD games being released on Nov. 18, 2008. My 11-year-old daughter and I had loads of fun playing them, and we gave them both a big thumbs up. These are great games for kids to play together, but if you’re a kid at heart like me, they’re fun for adults, too! Here’s the lowdown:

Hannah Montana DVD Game: This fun interactive game lets you take center stage at a Hannah Montana concert, play the drums to audition for her band, learn new dance moves, and test your HM knowledge with clips, pictures and quotes puzzles. The DVD features 11 games and activities, and it will definitely be making an appearance at my daughter’s next slumber party. Sweet niblets, this DVD is way too much fun for kids of all ages! high-school-musical-dvd-game High School Musical Game: This DVD also features 11 interactive games and activities, including sing-alongs, friendship quizzes, dance routines, hoop shoots for the Wildcats, and some cool test-your-knowledge games. My daughter and I had the most fun with BFFs, a game that tests how well you know your best friends. Turns out we know each other pretty well. This DVD is tons of fun for both kids and adults!
