Funny People – 10 Images and new restricted trailer
July 8, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I’m still wondering whether “Funny People” will be, you know, funny or not. Maybe it’s not supposed to be.
It’s from Judd Apatow (funny), stars Adam Sandler (possibly funny) as a guy diagnosed with a terminal illness (not funny), who takes a young performer (Seth Rogen – funny) under his wing as his opening act. It also stars Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, and Leslie Mann (all funny).
Rated R for language and crude sexual humor throughout, and some sexuality, “Funny People” hits theaters July 31, 2009.

Kevin James talks Paul Blart, The Zookeeper – VIDEO
March 25, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Comedian Kevin James sat down with Paul Byrne of Movies.ie and talked about his movie "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" (loved it – read my review here), as well as his upcoming movie, "The Zookeeper."
Turns out Kevin never thought about being a stand-up comedian! Watch the video and listen as he talks about having fun at the family dinner table and going into the movie business. He seems like the kind of guy you could sit down and have buffalo wings with.

Isn’t it time for a new Judd Apatow movie? Don’t we all need a laugh right about now? Yes! And thank goodness, “Funny People” is on the way. We’ll have to wait until July 31, 2009 before it hits theaters, but I think it’s one to look forward to.
Adam Sandler plays comedian George Simmons. When he learns he has a terminal illness (ok, so it might not be all fun and laughs), he takes a newbie performer under his wing as his opening act. Also stars a slew of other Apatow regulars, including Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, and Leslie …read more
"Paul Blart: Mall Cop" – Preview & Trailer
January 5, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
I was just telling someone that "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" looks like such a funny movie. In the trailer, check out the scene where Kevin James slides across the floor in slo-mo. He’s a master at the physical comedy, and clearly doesn’t take himself too seriously.
He stars as a single, suburban dad, trying to make ends meet as a security officer at a New Jersey mall. Though no one else takes his job seriously, Paul considers himself on the front lines of safety. When a heist shuts down the megaplex, Jersey’s most formidable mall cop will have to become …read more
“Bedtime Stories” Review and Trailer
December 28, 2008 by Jane Boursaw
Movie: Bedtime Stories * Official Site
In Theaters: Dec. 25, 2008
Runtime: 95 minutes
Directed by: Adam Shankman
MPAA Rating: PG for some mild rude humor and mild language
Gecko Rating:
I can’t say I’ve ever been a big fan of Adam Sandler movies, but once in a while, he turns one out that’s sweet and funny. That’s the case with “Bedtime Stories,” a family film from Walt Disney Studios that, amazingly, doesn’t include any objectionable content. I say amazingly, because Adam Sandler movies quite often contain objectionable content. You know, movies like “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan” and “I Now Pronounce …read more
