Fox thrilled with All About Steve box office numbers
September 6, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
Labor Day is never a good weekend to release a movie, and the top two movies brought in the usual small numbers. “The Final Destination” grossed $12.4 million, while “All About Steve” brought in $11.2 million.
Here’s the thing, though. Apparently, Fox is still pretty happy with those “All About Steve” numbers. According to Yahoo Movies, some Fox official said they were "thrilled with that number.” Apparently, they were expecting a lot less.

Peter Jackson talks District 9
August 5, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
There’s been some interesting promotions for “District 9” lately, and one is a contest held by IGN.com. The site recently sent two contest winners to Comic-Con to interview producer Peter Jackson, director Neill Blomkamp (a Jackson protege), and actor Sharlto Copley about the movie.
It’s a gritty sci-fi story that involves post-war apocalypse, barbed-wire enclosures, and exhausted alien refugees whose spaceship runs out of gas. Sounds fun, huh?! Hollywood Reporter has a great review of the film here. It hits theaters Aug. 14, 2009.
