Catherine Hardwicke: No on Directing "New Moon"

The Web is buzzing about the news that Catherine Hardwicke will NOT be directing “New Moon,” the next installment of the “Twilight” franchise.
Though I’ve heard rumors about tension on the “Twilight” set (and who really knows for sure?), according to a joint statement from Summit Entertainment and Hardwicke, the targeted release date of late 2009 or early 2010 doesn’t mesh with her schedule.

Other than that, he worked in special effects, including designing the vehicles for “Star Wars” and storyboarding the convoy action sequence for “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”
Does Johnston have the chops to pull off the first Avengers movie? I’ve heard good things about “The Wolf Man,” so I’m holding out all good hope. I’m …read more
