I think of Natalie Portman as being around forever, but the tiny star is only 28. Still, she’s been nominated for an Oscar (2004’s "Closer"), and has 33 other nominations and seven wins on her impressive resume. Sci-fi fans, of course, know her as Queen Padme Amidala in the "Star Wars" trilogy.

It’s not often you get a reboot that takes you right back into the story and characters without being cheesy. But "Star Trek" manages to do just that. Under J.J. Any time Joss Whedon works on a project, people stand up and take notice. I’m a "Firefly"/"Serenity" fan, and currently in the midst of both "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel." It’s been so much fun watching these two shows on DVD and connecting with other fans in the process.
