Sylvestor Stallone to Direct and Star in "The Expendables"

Is Sylvester Stallone expendable? I guess we’ll find out. He’s set to star in and direct “The Expendables” for Nu Image/Millennium Films.
Not only that, he also penned the script. What a renaissance guy. He’ll be joined by Jason Statham, and Jet Li is also in talks to join the cast.
The movie follows a team of mercenaries (yep, sounds like a Stallone movie!) on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator. Shooting is scheduled to start in February in in Costa Rica and Louisiana.
