Sony Acquires "Moon"

Sony Pictures has picked up distribution for Liberty Films’ sci-fi thriller Moon, starring Sam Rockwell as an astronaut stranded on the moon for three years.

This will be the freshman debut for director Duncan Jones, who co-wrote the script with Nathan Parker. Stuart Fenegan, Nicky Moss and Trudie Styler are producing.

Seems like it’s been a while since we’ve had a good space movie. Hope this one delivers. It’s set for a spring 2009 release.
