Sneak Peek: Audience Loves "Valkyrie" – TRAILER
August 13, 2008 by Jane Boursaw
Tom Cruise is getting high marks for his World War II drama, Valkyrie, scheduled for a February 2009 release. At a top-secret screening in Las Vegas (could it be anything but top-secret?), the audience raved over the film — and Cruise’s performance.
He plays a German officer who plots to assassinate Hitler during the height of the war. Things don’t go well.
Meanwhile, Cruise has folks talking about his role as an overweight studio exec in Tropic Thunder, which opens today. I’m seeing it, so look for a review later today.
I dunno…in the trailer, he sort of looks like Tom Cruise playing Tom Cruise, doesn’t he? What do you think?
