"Seven Pounds" Preview & Trailer – Will Smith, the Ultimate Do-Gooder

November 25, 2008 by Jane Boursaw

Hey, Will Smith! Wanna pay my mortgage?! In “Seven Pounds,” he plays an IRS agent who changes the lives of seven strangers. The trailer has him giving someone a house and all kinds of crazy things. But if he wants to just pay off my mortgage, that’d be fine with me. I wonder where the “pounds” comes from, though…it’s all very mysterious…

It’s by the same folks who made “The Pursuit of Happyness,” so I guess it’ll probably be an emotional tear-jerker. It’s rated PG-13 for thematic material, some disturbing content and a scene of sensuality. Official Site. In theaters Dec. 19, 2008.
