Sam Raimi set to direct World of Warcraft movie

I’m pretty cozy with “World of Warcraft,” since both my kids have characters and spend hours in the fantasy computer world created by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. I actually created a character myself, but, uh, have no idea whatever happened to her. She’s probably feeling quite abandoned by now, mingling among the orcs, trolls, humans and dwarves in the popular online role-playing game.
I’ve been hearing rumors of a “World of Warcraft” movie for a while, but it looks like it’s getting closer to becoming a reality. “Spider-Man” director Sam Raimi has signed on to direct a live-action film based on the game. Most recently, he wrote and directed “Drag Me to Hell.”
If the movie is anything like this trailer for “Wrath of the Lich King,” let’s just say I’m giddy about it.

I really hope Raimi will be able to capture the scope of the Warcraft story.
Been waiting for this for a while now, Sam Raimi seems like a good choice.
