Rob Pattinson: Dreading "New Moon"

Yep, "Twilight" heartthrob Robert Pattinson says he’s dreading his blood-sucking role in the film’s sequel, "New Moon." But it’s not for the reason you might think. He hates the contact lenses he has to wear for the movie!
Pattinson is onboard as vampire Edward Cullen in "New Moon," scheduled for a Nov. 20, 2009 release date, but he’s dreading those topaz-colored contacts he has to wear.
He tells Britain’s Ok! Magazine, "Wearing colored contact lenses … It was like I constantly had sand in my eyes. I was wearing them for three months constantly, and my eyes never ever accepted them! It took me 20 minutes per eye every single day, and I ended up having to literally fold it into my eyeball."
Not only that, he says the lenses inhibited his ability to portray Edward’s emotions. "It was frustrating, as well, because normally your eyes are saying something, but if you’ve got two orange blobs in your face, it’s so annoying!"
"The director (Catherine Hardwicke) would say, ‘Look at her (Kristen Stewart) like you love her,’ and I’d be like, ‘I’m trying!’ I’m going to have to do it again, because we’re making the sequel next year."

hi im cassie and i think that if robert dosent want to wear the contacs then why should he i know it would a dramattic change in the movie but why should he do something that dosent feel right and he needs to stay in the movies so he should just think about it and maby talk to the director about it.
hey my names kennedy, i think the same i think the same as cassie. or he could only wear them in the close ups when the viewers get to see them. but with all the money they have had for the first movie they should use abit of computer magic if possible!
I think he should still have to wear them because they already have cut a lot of details out of the movies and she talks about his eyes in the book so much! I think they should try a different kind.. I wear contacts so I know what its like for him.. but I got a different brand and I wear them every day no prob. =)

Okay! Rob, you are such a baby!! You’re making the best movie ever (for Twilight fans anyway)!! There’s people starving in Africa and you’re worried about a little orange spot?!? Hello! I wear contacts everyday- it’s not that bad. Come on! Quite whining and make the freaking movie! I can’t wait !!!

I agree in what Andrea said in her comment… Steph really emphasized Edward’s eyes in every book in the saga and I could tell that it’s the most expressive part of Edward’s face… So, I think Rob must endure it a little bit more…I know he could do this and besides, patience is a virtue… also persistence too!=)

Of course he has to wear them. I mean he is playing Edward Cullen.
And its a part of acting, you basically do what people say I guess.
I love robert and if he doesn’t want to wear the contacts…………he shouldn’t have too………the directors should listen to him because if he leaves the twilight sequal……….Im positive that this next sequal new moon will not be a success……i love stephanies books but robert made the movie…..thats the only reason there is sooooo much fans out for twilight…………so to the new moon director……..you best be listening to ROBERT!!!!
