Ready for a good virus movie? Check out Carriers
September 3, 2009 by Jane Boursaw
“Carriers” has kind of flown under the radar, and I really haven’t heard that much about it. The scoop is that it was filmed during 2006 and 2007, and is just now being released. It’s funny to see Chris Pine in this movie, when he was such a major part of this year’s “Star Trek.” Not that “Carriers” isn’t good; just different and probably lower budget, judging by the trailer.
Anyway, it’s about a virus that threatens to wipe out humanity (don’t they all?). Danny (Lou Taylor Pucci) and his brother Brian (Chris Pine), and their friends Bobby (Piper Perabo) and Kate (Emily VanCamp) embark on a journey across the southwestern desert to try and elude the virus. But, as is usually the case during a major catastrophe, the humans are tested beyond their limits.
Here’s a peek at the trailer; the movie comes out tomorrow, Sept. 4, 2009. It doesn’t look half-bad, and I like all of the actors. It’s like a road trip movie with a horror twist.
