"Prom Night" (2008) – Trailer

"Prom Night" (2008) is yet another remake of a classic horror/slasher movie. Are there no more original ideas out there? I hated the remakes of "Halloween" (2007) and "The Fog" (2005) and now we have this. IMDb describes as follows: "Donna’s senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, though a sadistic killer from her past has different plans for her and her friends."

The original "Prom Night" (1980) starred, Jamie Lee Curtis (big surprise), while this one stars Brittany Snow. We’ll have to wait and see how the two compare. While I’m mostly appalled, I’ll give it a chance since "When a Stranger Calls" (2006) wasn’t so bad (hey, I didn’t say I loved it, it just wasn’t terrible).

The film opens on April 11, 2008.
