Paramount Acquires "Monster Zoo"

image Variety is reporting that Paramount Pictures has acquired feature rights to “Monster Zoo,” a graphic novel by Douglas TenNapel that will be published in the spring by Image.

Buckaroo Entertainment’s Sam Raimi (the “Spider-Man” movies) and Josh Donen will produce with Ellen Goldsmith Vein. Raimi is currently developing the Universal thriller “Drag Me to Hell.”

“Monster Zoo” tells the story of a young boy who discovers his local zoo contains critters much more frightening than the ordinary collection. Hmmm…
