Olivia Wilde, Shawn Andrews and Tao Ruspoli Talk ‘Fix’

November 24, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

Olivia Wilde seems to be everywhere these days. I’ve been seeing photos of her attending movie premieres and just about every other Hollywood event.

On the big screen, you can catch her in “Fix,” an action thriller in which documentary filmmakers Bella (Wilde) and Milo (Tao Ruspoli, Wilde’s real-life husband) race to get Milo’s brother Leo (Shawn Andrews) from jail to rehab before 8 p.m., or Leo goes to prison for three years.

It’s fun for us because they’re documenting the trip as they go from a suburban police station in Calabasas through mansions in Beverly Hills, East LA chop-shops, rural wastelands, and housing projects in Watts, attempting to raise the $5,000 required to get Leo into the rehab clinic. In the end, it may take a drug deal to get the necessary funds.

“Fix” looks like one of those quirky, under the radar films that could develop a cult following. I’ll check it out and report back. Until then, here’s Wilde, Ruspoli and Andrews talking about the film, which has been buzzing through the film festival circuit all year.
