New Star Trek Movie Details

January 18, 2008 by Jeanne

star-trek-uss-enterpriseThe new "Star Trek" movie will be hitting theaters on December 25, 2008 and now we’re getting our first look at the USS Enterprise.  Any other Trekkies out there feeling warm and fuzzy?  I know I am!  I was in Las Vegas recently and was fortunate enough to go to the "Star Trek Experience."  It just made this new movie (the first in 6 years) even more exciting!

JJ Abrams the man behind the hit television show, "Lost" is bringing the 11th installment of the "Star Trek" series to the big screen.  There’s already been some casting news.  I know that Eric Bana ("Munich") is being brought in as a villian and Winona Ryder will be playing Spock’s mother.

Here are some side-by-side comparisons between the new and original cast for the major roles (for even more information, visit the official Star Trek site!).
