"New Moon" – Taylor Swift’s "Breathe"?

Over on Film Gecko’s "New Moon Casting News and Rumors" thread, Andrea Palmer commented that the song "Breathe" by Taylor Swift would make a great tune for "New Moon," when Edward leaves Bella. So I found a fan-made video on YouTube (by 2kairi11), and agree it would be beautiful for "New Moon." What do you think? Would you be onboard with this song for "New Moon"?

Yes, I believe Taylor Swift’s song “Breathe” would be great for New Moon. I also like Paramore’s “Born For This” for Jacob’s wolf pack, “We Are Broken”, “When It Rains” and “Fences”. Yes, I’m a Paramore Fan.

There is NO way this song is to weak! It’s perfect for the part especially since the book reads how Bella can’t ‘Breathe’ without him, this makes this song sooooo right for the movie they couldn’t get a better song to fit unless someone wrote one for the movie!
OMG this was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard this song! I told my friend(shes a hard core twilight fan) and she said that she had thought the exact same thing! This is the PERFECT song and Taylor is so popular right now! They’ve gotta add it to the New Moon soundtrack, and put it in the movie in the scene where Edward leaves Bella. That would totally make my day.
This song is great for the transition between Edward leaving and Bella coming out of her “zombie” like state of mind. Taylor Swift always has a song for almost any situation because she writes from her experinces/heart! Oh and I personally think NickelBack’s “Far Away” would be great to use when Bella is searching through the crowd for in Italy for Edward

I was listening to this song again and it even says something about a clean break!! which they talk about in either then end or in Eclipse! she can’t breathe.. thats what the song is about.. he tries to make a clean break.. they say that too. lyrics are so right!

i thought that song would be perfect for New Moon the first time i heard it. I mean, seriously, “I can’t breathe without you, but i have to.” that’s like exactly how Bella feels after he leaves.

Got an idea guyss lol- when Edward leaves Bella a darker song would be fine and then since all the days go by in a blurr maybe just put this as a backround for like her life at that time since they’ll need lyrics probably since she won’t really be talkig.
I think the song is too ‘light’. When Edward leaves Bella, Bella feels like her world is tearing apart, and it’s almost like she’s lost her will to live. I think this song won’t suit the story at all.
heres a few reasons “Breathe” by Taylor Swift should be for the “leaveing” seen and the “woundering in the woods” seen.
1.Alice saids the reason she didnt say goodbye is bc bella needed a “Clean Break” (this is said in the song)
2.Bella practicly cant breathe with out edward
3.Edward can see Bella’s face in his mind as he drives away.
4.IT FITS WITH THE IDEA OF THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!
