A little robot and an ass-kickin’ girl hit theaters tomorrow — not in the same movie, though. Take a look at what’s new in theaters:

Wanted. Angelina Jolie kicks butt as a trained assassin, and teaches James McAvoy a thing or two. Rated R. Gecko Preview & Trailer (And take a look at that picture. NO ONE should be allowed to be that beautiful. Seriously, it’s a crime.)

WALL*E. It’s the year 2700, and WALL*E is a happy little trash-compacting robot who suddenly gets big dreams about his ultimate destiny, leading him on a wild journey across the universe. Rated G! Gecko Preview & Trailer

More after the jump…

Gunnin’ For That #1 Spot. This sports flick documents the awesome athletes competing in the “Boost Mobile Elite 24 Hoops Classic” on Sept. 1, 2006. Gecko Preview & Trailer

Finding Amanda. Matthew Broderick plays Taylor Peters, a TV writer and producer who tries to do good by using his own bad experiences to get his niece (Brittany Snow) into rehab. He’s hoping the good deed will score points with his wife (Maura Tierney). 100 minutes. Rated R for strong sexual content including graphic dialogue, pervasive language, drug content and brief nudity.

I’m much more interested in WALL-E, but not quite as excited as much of the internet seems to be. I’m holding out for The Dark Knight, thought I’ll definitely check WALL-E out on DVD.
