Minnie Driver Pregnant!

Actress Minnie Driver has confirmed that she’s expecting her first child, according to an IMDB story.

And Jay Leno sure took a big risk finding out! During an interview on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Thursday night, he commented that Driver, 38, had gained weight, then asked if she was pregnant. “Yes, I am,” she replied. Whew! That would have been really awkward if she wasn’t.

Ok, so maybe he had a few clues. The Emmy-nominated star of The Riches sparked rumors of a pregnancy after she was photographed leaving a Los Angeles clinic last month. She told Leno she loves being pregnant, but doesn’t like the morning sickness. “I don’t know why they call it morning sickness,” she said. “I am sick morning, noon and night, but it’s a fair trade-off.” No word on who the father is.

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Driver said she’s hoping for a girl, partly because of name issues. “Driver is kind of a hard name to put with a first name, particularly boys names,” she said. “My friend sent me an email saying I should call the baby Duncan Driver. Then I can call it Dunk Driver, Pile Driver, Rally Driver.”
