Michael Bay on Transformers 3

September 14, 2009 by Jane Boursaw

michael_bay_shia_labeouf_transformers Wondering whether there’s going to be a “Transformers 3”? Michael Bay’s official Web site offered a few clues as to the status of that project.

According to the site, Bay will be meeting with Steven Spielberg and Ehren Kruger later this week to discuss ideas for “Transformers 3.” We should know by the end of the week whether it’s in a go mode. If so, it would likely hit theaters in the summer of 2011 or 2012.

Bay has a long list of possible projects in the works, including “Pain & Gain” and “Bad Boys 3.” I wouldn’t mind another “Transformers” movie. I mean, they’re no cinematic trailblazers or anything, but they’re good fun for what they are – big movies with giant robots and lots of action.

What about you? Would you see a third “Transformers” movie, or don’t you really care one way or another?
