McConaughey to Star in "Captain America"?

My buddies over at Cinema Blend have put the rest of us to shame (way to go, Josh!) by scooping that Matthew McConaughey might be in talks to play Marvel’s Captain America, due to hit theaters in 2011.

Josh (Tyler, high guru at Cinema Blend), thinks McConaughey would be a strange choice, noting, “Though he’s made a lot of movies, there’s still been no real evidence that Matthew can really act. Aside from his questionable acting ability, there’s also his public persona as a rarely bathed, pot smoking slacker. The McConaughey we’ve all come to know embodies just about everything that Captain America isn’t.”

Ok, all that may be true, but you’re a guy, Josh, so you don’t get the appeal of Mr. M. He’s darn cute! Still, I’d rather he resurrect Dirk Pitt and do a sequel to Sahara (even though I’m the only person on the planet who liked it).
