LaBeouf Facing Amputation?

Blogs are buzzing about a report in the Star indicating that Shia LaBeouf might lose a finger on the hand he injured when his truck flipped over in a crash in Hollywood last month.
“Shia called producers yesterday and told them,” said a source on the Transformers 2 set in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where LaBeouf is filming the movie. “It’s really thrown the movie into turmoil.”
He was cited for DUI, although cops say they don’t believe the accident was his fault.
Now for the spin doctors. Publicist Melissa Kates says the 22-year-old is NOT in danger of losing his finger, adding that the report is “completely fabricated.” Publicists get really good at these kinds of statements.
LaBeouf underwent surgery and spent several days in the hospital, delaying filming on the Transformers movie. Which I’m really looking forward to, so I hope he doesn’t experience any more injuries!

This was debunked a few days ago. His finger will stay, but his recovery will put filming on hold for two months.
Liz – I can’t imagine the pressure of being the reason why filming on such a huge movie can’t move forward. It’s no wonder young stars spin out of control sometimes. Hope that doesn’t happen with him.
