LaBeouf and Grisham Team Up – Woot!

Shia LeBeouf – I like to call him “my boy” – has signed on for “The Associate,” a movie based on a John Grisham novel. One of my favorite actors playing a character from one of my favorite authors. Could there be anything better?!

Variety is reporting that LaBeouf will play a student who’s about to graduate from Yale Law School when he’s manipulated into accepting a job at a prestigious law firm and given privileged information about a multibillion-dollar lawsuit.

Paramount Pictures just acquired the rights to the story, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing. The novel will be published in January by Random House. Yeah, I’ll be grabbing that up pronto. I’m reading “The Appeal” right now.
