Kim Cattrall to star in "Miss January"

Variety is reporting that Kim Cattrall is set to star in in Keith Bearden’s feature debut “Miss January.”

It’s great seeing her move beyond her role as Samantha Jones in “Sex and the City.” It seems like after the TV series ended, she kind of disappeared a bit, popping up in small films like Walt Disney’s “Ice Princess.” She deserves big roles.

“Miss January” follows a young man on his journey to meet the woman of his dreams, a 1980s movie star who is currently a single mother fighting for custody of her child.

Also on board are Brian Dennehy, Dustin Ingram, Keith David and Sam McMurray, with Keith Bearden directing his own script.
