Kelsey Grammer Cast in "An American Carol"

Kelsey Grammer, who is probably best known as the title character on “Frasier,” will be appearing as Ebenezer Scrooge in David Zucker’s (”Scary Movie 4″) independent film, “An American Carol.”  He’s no stranger to the role of Scrooge, who he portrayed in the 2004 NBC-Hallmark production of “A Christmas Carol.”

Variety reports that “An American Carol” will lampoon “contemporary American culture, particularly Hollywood.” Hmmm… I tend to think that holiday movies are remade too often but I welcome a fresh, humorous take on a classic if it’s done right.  Could be good.

This looks like it will be a great time. Good entertainment. It’s nice to go to the theater and be able to laugh out loud. Kelsey Grammer usually delivers just that. I hear an up and comer, Tyler Jacob Moore, is cast in a small part. Watch for him. I’ve seen him in a few things and can’t wait to catch his part in this. I think comedy could be his niche too. Too bad we have to wait for 09.

This looks terrible. Michael Moore is a true American patriot and instead of making this smear-snorefest film, the money spent on this movie could have gone to a much better cause, like to hurricane victims or veterans without health insurance…anyone remember this country is STILL AT WAR?!
