Josh Brolin in Talks for "Jonah Hex"

October 10, 2008 by Jane Boursaw

joshbrolin1 Yet another DC comic character is coming to the big screen — Jonah Hex, a confederate cowboy, gunslinger and bounty hunter whose face is partly disfigured.

Do you get the idea that filmmakers are seriously running out of ideas, so they’re going into the comic book vault to make or remake every character out there? I do.

Anyway, Josh Brolin is in talks to star in the Warner Bros. adaptation, with Crank helmers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor directing and writing the script.

Brolin is pretty hot right now, having been busy since he smashed through theaters with his portrayal of Llewelyn Moss in 2007’s No Country For Old Men (which I loved). You can see him next in Oliver Stone’s W. and Gus Van Sant’s Milk. Looking forward to both of those.
