Jon Stewart Talks Oscars on Larry King
February 19, 2008 by Jane Boursaw
Jon Stewart is set to host the 80th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, but first, he’ll make a pit-stop at Larry King’s desk tonight, Feb. 20, at 9 p.m. ET on CNN.
The talk show pundit will offer his views on the writer’s strike, the presidential race, and, of course, the upcoming Oscars, airing Sunday, Feb. 24 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
Fresh off the strike, writers have been furiously scribbling — or maybe pounding the keyboard — all week to prepare for the awards show. Veteran Oscar scribes Hal Kanter, Buz Kohan, Jon Macks, and Bruce Vilanch are also participating.
“Instead of writing eight hours a day, they are writing 12 to 13 hours a day,” Oscars producer Gil Cates has said.
