Jim Carrey on the Set of "Philip Morris"

April 29, 2008 by Jane Boursaw

image Jim Carrey is currently filming I Love You Phillip Morris, set for a 2009 release date.

Based on a book by Houston Chronicle crime reporter Steve McVicker, the comedy casts Carrey as Steven Russell, a family man who lands in the Texas criminal justice system. He falls in love with his cell-mate, who’s set free, which leads Russell to escape from Texas prisons four times (kind of makes you wonder how secure they are, doesn’t it?).

Ewan McGregor and Leslie Mann co-star in the film, directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. Take a look at the brand new set pics post on TheBadandUgly.com. Love the hat, Jim.
