Jessica Simpson apparently hurt herself on the set of her movie Major Movie Star:

Jessica Simpson is dressed in army uniform-filming the kind of tough scene in which she busted her nose. Jessica has said she "either broke or fractured my nose" after accidentally hitting herself with a gun on the set of military movie ‘Major Movie Star’ in Shreveport, Louisiana. She says she can only carry on working thanks to the "magic of makeup" – seen here as it hides the bruises and swelling she says she suffered in the accident.
