"Jennifer’s Body" Gets a Release Date; Megan Fox Doesn’t Get Topless

“Jennifer’s Body” has a release date: Sept. 18, 2009. But Megan Fox’s topless scene has been cut, in case you were looking forward to that.

“Jennifer’s Body” follows a gorgeous cheerleader (Megan Fox), who’s possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a small Minnesota farming town. Her best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshipping rock band responsible for the horrible transformation.

Ok, I can almost always find something to like about a movie, but this one sounds completely ridiculous. Aside from the blatant rip-off poster from HBO’s “True Blood,” the plot sounds like it was thrown together during a late-night drinking session.

But hey, it’s got some chops behind it, including writer Diablo Cody (“Juno”), director Karyn Kusama, and stars Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Simmons, Adam Brody, and J.K. Simmons. All I can say is, we’ll see.
