Jennifer Hudson Cast In Perry’s "Family"

Jennifer Hudson is in negotiations to star in Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys.  Of course, Perry will direct and star in the film as he’s done with his other films ("Why Did I Get Married?" for example).

Jennifer will join confirmed cast members, Sanaa Lathan, Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard and Rockmond Dunbar.  Shooting is set to begin on March 2, 2008.

According to Variety, the script "focuses on two families from different sides of the tracks that become intimately involved in love and business."

I am very interested to see Jennifer in something other than Dreamgirls (2006).  She will also be appearing in Sex and the City which premieres on May 30, 2008.
