"Igor" Preview and Trailer
September 1, 2008 by Jane Boursaw
Fall is usually a wasteland for family movies until the holiday season kicks into gear. But Igor is heading to theaters Sept. 19, 2008, and it looks like a cute twist on the monster genre. I’m on board for any John Cusack / Steve Buscemi project.
It tells the story one Igor (John Cusack) who’s sick of being a lowly lab assistant with a Yes Master’s degree and dreams of becoming a scientist. When his cruel master kicks the bucket a week before the annual Evil Science Fair, Igor finally gets his chance.
With the help of two of his experimental creations – Brain (Sean Hayes), a brain in a jar, and Scamper (Steve Buscemi), a cynical bunny brought back from road kill status, Igor embarks on building the most evil invention of all time — a huge, ferocious monster! Instead, he gets Eva (Molly Shannon), a giant actress wannabe who wouldn’t hurt a fly.
More after the jump, including a trailer…
Directed by Tony Leondis, this movie is rated PG for some thematic elements, scary images, action and mild language. Check out the trailer:
