Harrison Ford: Back to Jack Ryan?
May 26, 2008 by Jane Boursaw
Harrison Ford is having a comeback of sorts, slaying the box office in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull ($126M opening weekend – not bad!).
Now my buddies at Cinema Blend posted that Harrison Ford might be revisiting another of his previous characters, Jack Ryan of Tom Clancy’s Patriot Games (1992) and Clear and Present Danger (1994).
There was a rumor going around that pegged this idea to how well Crystal Skull did at the box office and, well, it’s doing just fine. But some folks at Paramount are gunning for a younger face for Jack Ryan.
We’ll see how it all goes down. It makes me think that actors have to choose their roles carefully — because they might be with them for a long time. Like, most of their lives, in some cases.
What do you think? Any thoughts one way or the other on whether Ford should play Jack Ryan again?
